  • Jingsha He

    Research field:Computer networks, information safety, 3D printing, big data and cloud computing security, digital forensics.

    Graduated from University of Maryland, he has worked in IBM Corp., MCI Communications Corp., GRIC Communications, Inc., etc. in America, and got 15 American patents for invention. In 2003, he was introduced to Beijing University of Technology. At present, he has published 261 papers in international journals and conference proceedings, and got 58 Chinese patents for invention, presided over more than 30 projects as well, such as National Natural Science Foundation of China, 863 project, etc.

  • Yu-Dong Zhang

    Research field:Deep Learning; Medical Image Analysis.

    Prof. Yudong Zhang serves as a professor at the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences, University of Leicester, UK. His research interests include deep learning and medical image analysis. He is the Fellow of IET, Fellow of EAI, and Fellow of BCS. He is the Senior Member of IEEE, IES, and ACM. He is the Distinguished Speaker of ACM. He was the 2019 & 2021 recipient of Highly Cited Researcher by Clarivate. He has (co)authored over 400 peer-reviewed articles in the journals JAMA Psychiatry, Inf Fus, IEEE TFS, IEEE TII, IEEE TIP, IEEE TMI, IEEE IoTJ, Neural Networks, IEEE TITS, Pattern Recognition, IEEE TGRS, IEEE JBHI, IEEE TCSVT, IEEE TETCI, IEEE TCSS, IEEE JSTARS, IEEE TNSRE, IEEE SJ, ACM TKDD, ACM TOMM, IEEE/ACM TCBB, IEEE TCAS-II, IEEE JTEHM, ACM TMIS, etc. There are more than 50 ESI Highly Cited Papers and 5 ESI Hot Papers in his (co)authored publications. His citation reached 21670 in Google Scholar (h-index 82). He has conducted many successful industrial projects and academic grants from NIH, Royal Society, GCRF, EPSRC, MRC, Hope, British Council, and NSFC. He has given over 120 invited talks at international conferences, universities, and companies. He has served as (Co-)Chair for more than 60 international conferences and workshops. His research outputs have been reported by more than 50 news press, such as Reuters, BBC, Telegraph, Physics World, UK Today News, etc.

    Danilo Avola earned his Ph.D. degree in Molecular and Ultrastructural Imaging from University of L'Aquila, L'Aquila, Italy, in 2014. Since 2021 he is Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science of Sapienza University of Rome, where he leads both the Robotics Vision and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (TITAN Lab) and the Computer Vison Laboratory (VisionLab). In addition, since 2018 he is R&D Senior Engineer at the W•SENSE s.r.l., a spin-off of Sapienza University of Rome, where he leads the Computer Vision Team (CVT), and since 2010 he provides consultation and collaboration to companies engaged in computer science, computer vision, and artificial intelligence research projects. Previously, he was postdoc researcher at the Department of Mathematics, Computer Science and Physics (DMIF), University of Udine, Udine, Italy, and R&D Senior Engineer at the Artificial Vision and Real-Time Systems Laboratory (AVIRES Lab) at the same University. Even before, he was R&D Senior Engineer and Supervisor, earlier, at the Multimodal & Multimedia Laboratory (M&M Lab) of the National Research Council, Rome, Italy, and, later, both at the Pictorial Computing Laboratory (PCL Lab) and at the Artificial Vision Laboratory (AV Lab) of Sapienza University of Rome. Among other awards and prizes, Danilo Avola received, in 2020, the Outstanding Paper Award for IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics (TII). Currently, he is Reviewer of top International Journals in Computer Vision, including Pattern Recognition, Pattern Recognition Letters, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems for Video Technology, IEEE Transactions on Human-Machine Systems, and International Journal of Computer Vision; in addition, he is Associate Editor and Guest Editor of different ranked International Journals. His research interests include Computer Vision, Image/Video Processing, Human Computer Interaction, Wi-Fi Signal Processing, EGG Signal Processing, Machine/Deep Learning, Multimodal Systems, Pattern Recognition, Event/Action/Affect Recognition, Action, Scene Understanding, Body Language and Face Expression Interpretation, Robotics (UAVs, AUVs, ROVs, Humanoids), and has published around 100 papers on these topics. Since 2011, Danilo Avola is member of IAPR, CVPL, and IEEE.

He is currently working in School of Computer Science-Duy Tan University, Da Nang, Vietnam as Assistant Professor, Scientist, Vice-Chairman (Research) and Director- IoT and Intelligent Systems Lab. A Certified Professional with 75+ Professional certificates from CISCO, Microsoft, Oracle, Google, Beingcert, EXIN, GAQM, Cyberoam and many more.   • Gautam Srivastava

    Gautam Srivastava received his B.Sc. degree from Briar Cliff University in 2004, and his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from University of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, in 2006 and 2012, respectively. He then taught for three years at the Department of Computer Science, University of Victoria, where he was regarded as one of the top undergraduate professors in the computer science course instruction at the university. In 2014, he joined a tenure-track position at Brandon University, Brandon, Manitoba, Canada, where he is active in various professional and scholarly activities. He was promoted to the rank of associate professor in January 2018. He is active in research in the field of data mining and big data. In the eight years of his academic career, he has published a total of 200 papers in high-impact conferences in many countries and high-status journals (SCI, SCIE) and has also delivered invited keynote guest lectures on big data, cloud computing, the Internet of Things, and cryptography at many inter-national universities. His research is funded by federal grants from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada and Mathematics of Information Technology and Complex Systems.

    Quang Ngoc NGUYEN received the B.Eng. Degree in Information Technology, Honor Computer Science Program conducted in English from Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT), Hanoi, Vietnam in 2012, and became one of the youngest Faculty members of the Institute. He received a M.Sc. degree and Ph.D. degree from Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan in 2015 and 2019, respectively. Currently, he serves as 5G Vietnam Program Manager at HCL Technologies. Also, he is a Visiting faculty member with the Faculty of Science and Engineering, Waseda University, where he was an Asst. Professor from 2019 to 2021. He has hosted and participated in many research projects, including the collaborative EU-Japan research projects funded by the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 Programme (e.g., the Green ICN and 5G! Pagoda projects), and the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communication (MIC) of Japan. His research has also been funded by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) of Japan, Waseda University, and Fujitsu Ltd. and Fujitsu Lab. He was the sole Awardee of Asia Special Scholarship for Fall 2013 admission to the Graduate School of Global Information and Telecommunication Studies (GITS), Waseda University. He was also a recipient of young author recognition awarded by the International Telecommunication Union for young first-author of highly potential research under 30 years old, and actively contributed to many ITU-T standardization activities related to Information-Centric Networking (ICN) and Future Internet architecture. He has been a Guest Editor and Keynote Speaker at the 2nd International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Manufacturing (AIAM 2020), Shanghai, China and IEEE International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Computer Applications (ICAICA 2021), June 2021, Dalian, Chinas. He served as the sole and lead Editor of a book entitled “Congestion Control: Design, Applications and Protocols”, Nova Science Publishers, March 2021. In addition, he is a Topic Editor of Electronics, Switzerland and a Series Editor of Atlantis Highlights in Engineering, and Advances in Engineering Research (WoS). Also, Dr. Quang is currently serving as the Senior Advisor to the Strategic Council for Science and Technology at Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT).
